About

I've spent much of my career shaping and designing golf courses that celebrate the land rather than alter it. My journey began working alongside Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, two mentors who taught me that the best golf experiences are found in the ground itself- in contours, textures, and natural rhythms of the landscape. Over the years I've had the privilege of contributing to several acclaimed projects around the world as part of the Coore & Crenshaw design team. That experience deeply influenced my own philosophy: golf should feel fun, adventurous, unforced, and connected to its environment. Recently, I have launched my own firm where I can continue to bring people together through the joy and simplicity of the game- a place where the spirit of the community meets the art of design.

Philosophy

Golf, at it's best, is a conversation between the player and the land. My philosophy begins with the belief that the design should never overpower nature- it should reveal it. Every contour, every ridge, every subtle roll in the ground carries a story, and my job as an architect is to listen closely enough to let that story shape the golf. I've always been drawn to courses that feel as though they've simply always been there- courses where the design blends so naturally into the landscape that it's hard to tell where the hand of a man begins and nature ends. That's the essence of good golf architecture to me; restraint, respect, and rhythm. In an era where technology and precision often drive design, I still trust instinct and the eye test. I believe the most memorable holes are those that surprise you- not with artificial drama, but with quiet confidence of something that fits perfectly in it's surroundings. Ultimately, my goal isn't just to build golf courses- it's to create experiences that remind people why they fell in love with the game in the first place.
